The Rudder

Finally getting to the rudder. I hadn’t even drawn it ’til the other day. I did not get too many pics of the process – I was more into getting it done than taking pics. It’s built with a one inch douglas fir core and sheathed in quarter inch plywood. The fir was splined together and the ply and epoxy makes it all one solid piece once it’s dry. The fir boards were laid out just like the pic from Parker’s sharpie book. Fiberglass will be covering it all like the centerboard was done. It won’t be long now…
