Milestone – Paint

I’ve hit another milestone today – Paint!

Well, primer actually, but a big deal for me nonetheless.

I’m using this Zinsser high hide cover stain. $20 a gallon. I just rolled one coat on and only used probably less than a pint. Despite it being listed as 77% solids, it’ went on pretty thin. But I’ve got plenty so I’ll just do a few coats. I believe the next coats will start to build. I got it tinted to a cream color – closer to my final colors than white anyways.  A few days of priming and I’ll be ready for finish sanding and then –  color!

No more X’s guys, sorry 😉
