Glassing the hull

It’s been a while since I’ve had any real progress on the boat. The other day I got the skeg and gripe installed. Used some stainless lagbolts to bolt the skeg in – with that and the epoxy it should be plenty strong. I finally felt the time was right to tackle the fiberglass cloth. I’m doing this in stages – bottom first – then the topsides. I taped and used the purple tablecloth plastic to keep things neater. Less cleanup between stages. Now the bottom looks good and I’m waiting for it to get hard enough to remove the tape and plastic. Then I can lay the topsides glass and epoxy it. I’m trying to get it all done while the epoxy is a little green to avoid the amine blush issue and washing between coats. Not getting much sleep because of that. 😦
